Sam Smith has dominated the airwaves everywhere. Here's my rendition of "Stay With Me" recorded in one take from my living room. Enjoy!
Hi. My name is Kurt Scobie. This is my blog. When I'm not blogging I sing, write songs, and play the piano. I perform all over the U.S. at colleges, live-music venues, house concerts, churches, and more. Check out my website for more info. http://www.kurtscobie.com.

I have a great amount of respect for the band Sanctus Real. They got their start in Toledo, OH which is just 30 minutes from where I grew up. In a way, they were "hometown heroes". I have followed their journey over the years, and they are doing it right!
Here is my cover of their new single "Lay It Down". I am excited for their new album which will be coming out in the next few weeks!

Spotify Playlist: Summer Is Over
Spotify Playlist: Summer Is Over

Many people ask me who my favorite artists are, and what I like to listen to. So, I have created some Spotify playlists to share, featuring some songs that I like.
I hope you have been been enjoying my Spotify Playlists! It is fun to create these.
"Summer Is Over" features TWO of my favorite piano-playing singer/songwriters; Jon McLaughlin and Sara Bareilles. This playlist is mostly "goodbye" songs, including my song, "Last Call" which I wrote after I deciding to move from Nashville to Atlanta.
Please add songs that you think might fit with these. This is a Collaborative Playlist!
Cheers!

Mat Kearney is an artist I have been following for many years now. I love his songs. "Breathe In, Breathe Out" is a Mat Kearney song that I have chosen to kick off this playlist. Followed by tracks with similar themes and style. Including a couple of my own songs, of course.
This is a Collaborative Playlist! If you think of a song that might fit, feel free to add it!
Cheers!
